Into the Sitch , please see the picture gallery
Monument Mix
Dear customers
I'am just completing a week session at Ribierre in France, and have caught plenty of stunning fish upto 47lb,
however the most exciting thing about the trip is the fact that the " monument mix" has been by far my best
bait, unfortunately I only brought five kilo's. In fact more fish came to the one rod with monument mix than
the other two on which I used maggots and another top boilie.
I will be taking just " monument mix" to rainbow next month, so I will let you know how it performs.
Magical March!
March has turned out to be a productive month so far on the sitch with multiple captures of fish common place, i have had reports of a 33lb and 34lb mirror, pictures to follow. The average weight of the fish is increasing and the number of 20lb fish continues to grow. The fish can be seen poking their heads out throughout the day making location that little bit easier.
End of season and renewal
This year the lake will be closing on the 12th April. Can all Sitch anglers wishing to renew their tickets for the 2012/13 season please contact Ed on 07779257812, cost remains the same as last year and monies are now due to secure your place.
Carp Report 28/2

looking to for fantastic water this season call Ed on 07779257812

Search on You Tube “24hr rod race Matt Hayes” it the 19th June clip by Jonathan Chappell and give an introduction on Matt Hayes brace of 37’s at The Sitch, it will be out on TV soon
The Sitch is a naturally formed breath taking 26 acre estate lake, surrounded by mature dense woodland that boasts a spectacular variety of trees, and is home to a diverse range of wildlife.
The fishery has 20 purpose built pegs, some are situated in the woodland and others on purpose built platforms set out on the lakeside amongst the reed and sedges.
The lake is stocked with 450 young monument strain carp. These fish range from 12lb – 30lb and are growing at a healthy rate, with the number of 20’s increasing each month! There are also a number of 30lb fish with the lake record currently standing at 38lb +. On top of the current stock we also adopt an on going year on year stocking policy with a view to improving on the high end fish we have exceeding 30lb.
The future looks promising for the Sitch as the fish continue to grow. With 450 fish multiple catches are a common place, these fish really respond to heavy baiting tactics and with depth’s not exceeding 4ft you are never too far away from your target.
Syndicate
The Sitch is run as a syndicate from June to March and is a great way to start your fishing carrier on an R H Fisheries syndicate water. Joining the Sitch couldn’t be simpler, just pick up the phone and contact Ed on 07779257812
Open Access
Through the months of April and May we operate an open access policy, we sell the lake exclusively from Sat- Sat for groups of upto 12 anglers. With 26 acres of water to target and 20 well spaced swims, there loads of room (we will consider groups of 6 for half the fishery)
Call Alex on 01952-463141 for more details.
New Big Carp
We plan to continue to push the lake in the right direction like we have done previously. The averrage size of the carp has continued to increase and 2012 will see a large number of our sitch fish break the 20lb barrier. We already have a healthy number of fish over 20lb and exeeding 30lb however we still plan to stock some more large carp. Weights and numbers of carp are to be confirmed but one things for sure it will make the 2012/13 season very exiting!
15th Jan 2012
This week we didnt see many anglers, however i can still report a few carp being caught from open water infront of peg 4 and from peg one. i have also seen fish sunning themselves around the new snag on the side of the island in peg 15. Ice stopped play through the weekend as the temperature plummeted.
New year report
The new year has brought mixed success to those who choose to brave the elements. A number of low 20's and doubles have been banked. The new year saw the heavens open and drop some well needed rain on the area, the lake has now rose a number of inches and is continuing to do so. Fish are being caught from all over the lake now with regullar sightings of crashing fish in pegs 1, 4 and 5.
Open Access 15/1
We have had a last minute cancellation on Weston Park for the open access on the 21-28th April. If you fancy a go on this spectacular looking 12 acre estate lake in the private grounds of Weston park then phone us on 01952 463141.
Open access is for group bookings of upto 8 anglers, and the lake has 13 well-spaced swims. The biggest plus about Weston is the spectacular grade 2 listed sand stone boathouse that's is included with full lake open access bookings.
Visit the Weston site to see pictures of the boathouse
The lake holds 204 stunning carp with a new lake record common weighing 39-15, there is a big head of 30's in Weston and a average weight of 25+, they are boilie eaters, and very catchable, as they love the boilies which produce all year round.

Fishery News
Just to inform you the sitch land owner has put in a planning application to develop holiday lodges in the sitch wood.
This is something Ed and myself have been aware of from the start, as there would be pluses and minus' if the project went ahead.
However at present NO planning approval has been granted and IF the project did go ahead it would not stop any of the swims being fished and the development would not start until 2013.
Also IF the development went ahead we would get mains power on site running water and possibly a bore- hole all of which would benefit the fishery!
Also the access to the proposed development would be off the Chester Road which is the opposite side to our entrance so our current access would remain exclusive to syndicate members only!
RH
24th July
There have been a number of fish caught over the last week. Peg 2 seems to be the most consistent at the moment and is producing fish of all sizes on a regular basis. It is encouraging to see a number of new 20's gracing the bank along with the average size increasing so soon after spawning. We have two thirtys to report a 33lb mirror to Paul Garrard and a 32lb mirror to Ant the icecream! well done lads.
Open as usual
The lake has been open for a few weeks now with most anglers managing to get amongst the fish, Shaun Taylor had a great session fishing peg 2 at short range, he took 16 fish to 24lb. The whole lake has been producing fish with carp to 31lb being taken from the boards.
3rd June
CLOSED FOR SPAWNING
The fish have started to spawn on the Sitch. With the weather forcast predicting more hot weather we have decided to shut the fisherie to allow the fish time to spawn and recondition. We will be reopening on the 10th June.
1st June
A couple of the big girls have been landed, gareth nut tall landed a new lake record 38-00 lb mirror from swim 2 on Nash boilies and introduced 5 kilos of freebies, and Paul jenkins landed a 36-00 lb mirror from swim 10 again at range over a large bed of boilies. Also the initial captures show the fish are both in mint condition and well up in weight. However like all our waters the sitch fish are ready to spawn, and in think the next warm spell isvall they are waiting for.
17th May
Last week Matt Hayes did a couple of days filming a new TV Programme with the aim to catch a 20lb+ fish surface fishing and a 20lb+ fish off the bottom. This he of course did but better than anyone expected or could have even dreamed.
He caught 2 of the biggest fish in the lake one off the top and one off the bottom the fish weighed 37-00 and 37-11 what a result!
There a still a few syndicate places for the Sitch for the coming season so if you would like to have a go at matching up to Matt’s fantastic hit then please call us on 01952 463141.
Start of the Season
The Sitch will be opening on Friday the 20th this year, members are advised to contact Ed to secure a place. A draw will take place at 10am for pegs. Get down early to find the fish!
Matt Hayes
Photo's are now up on the gallery showing the two 37lb fish Matt caught, Matt was fishing as part of a new TV series coming out soon, he broke the lake record with a 37lb mirror taken off the top on dog biscuits and within 24hrs smashed it a second time with another fish this time at 37lb 11oz. This fish was caught using boilies on the bottom.
New lake record!
Yesterday Matt Hayes smashed the lake record with a 37-00 caught on a floater infront of the cameras. and today he has caught an even bigger fish! Yes even Bigger!!
We should get the pics in a couple of days so keep an eye on the site and you will see both fish!
SYNDICATE VANCANCIES
There are a few places available for the Sitch syndicate for this coming year season staring May 20th. If you are interested please call Ed on 07779257812 or monument 01952 463141
22nd March
The Sitch has been producing big hits to anglers who have been putting the bait in Dave Ellis had 9 fish putting in 10kg of boilies and Paul Jenkins had 8 fish fishing over 5kg of boilies. So don’t be afraid of over baiting in the Sitch it doesn’t seem possible!!
The angler that has caught the biggest fish over the last week though is Darren Buckley Mellors who landed a 33-04 form the boards swim fishing to the middle again on boilie.
15th February
The sitch has also started to produce, and during the mild spells good hits are on the cards. Most anglers who fished last week caught, rob and anthony both had 19lb+ fish Lee norton had a 15 , keV had a 15 , chris Mason had a couple of doubles , boilies on chods and sweetcorn doing the business. The sitch carp love the boilies and all good quality baits seem to work. No sign of the new big girls yet
14th February
Fishing this weekend was steady, there was a number of fish out from all over the lake. The fish didn't show very much over the last few days but gave their presence away by the odd bubble here and there. A mixture of bait and singles accounted for last weeks fish.
3rd February
The ice has now completely gone, with the high wind speed and the rise in temperature i fully expect a few fish to grace the bank this coming weekend. A trip out in the boat found groups of fish spread throughout the middle of the lake and around the island.
31st January
Due to the recent weather conditions the Sitch has been frozen over for a number of days now. Looking at the long range weather forecast the temperature is due to rise and we are to experience some rain. Our plan over the next few days is to give the lake a helping hand and take the boat onto the water to break up the ice. I would expect the lake to be fishable by Friday morning. Please check here for an update before heading over.
If last time's thaw is anything to go by we predict that there will be a number of fish caught.
20th January
Welcome to the new sitch carp syndicate website, which will be regularly updated for the benefit of the syndicate and other anglers wishing to find out about the sitch. For now please send your pictures to info@rhfisheries .com to get your catches posted on the gallery. This will enable you to see all the quality fish in the sitch and to monitor their progress. We are pleased to say we had no issues with the ice, and the fish are now back on the feed with 12 fish upto 22 lb being caught this weekend.
We are also delighted to inform you that we have recently stocked two stunning young 30's weighing 33-08 and 34-12 and you can see them being stocked on the video clips gallery.
We are also planning to stock even bigger fish next winter.
