Weston Park
The History
I took control of the park pool in 1999 shortly after which it was drained and re-stocked. In addition to the original stock, many young fish have come through and Weston now holds well over 200 superb fish up to 37lb with many 30’s and several 30lb commons. Since 2000 Weston has been run as an exclusive carp fishery which has always had a 4 year waiting list. Matt Hayes is a regular visitor and describes Weston as ‘Carp Fishing Heaven’, Click on the Weton Park fishery tour introduction to hear what Matt has to say.
Fact File
Weston is a fast developing water that won’t peak for several years, these young fish are still growing extremely well! 2 years ago, Weston was really a double water, now there are many 30’s with a lake record of 37lb, which is one of several 30lb commons. There are over 200 fish present and the average weight in 2006 was 24lb but they are catchable. Many anglers visiting the Boathouse have caught over 20 fish in the week with 46 fish landed in a week during June 2007. The Weston Carp love boilies, and lots of them, they also take floaters well. The lake is silty so balanced baits work well.
Weston Park Facilities
The facilities are basic porter toilets & shower with tap drinking water located near the boathouse.
Weston Park Boathouse Anglers
The boathouse is truly magnificent. If you book exclusive use of the boathouse you will be living in luxury for the duration of your stay. The boathouse is located on the edge of the lake overlooking the fishery. It is fully centrally heated with oak fully fitted kitchen, power shower, toilet, bedroom with two beds, TV and lake views.
